Course Requirement

Undergraduate

• 70 - 80% and above for Science, Commerce in Std. XII / Diploma.
• 65% and above for humanities in Intermediate or Std. XIIth.
• 50% - 60% could also be considered by some Universities if there is some additional qualification / experience.        

Postgraduate

• Originals or certified true copies of university academic transcripts, which list the courses studied and the grades achieved
• Originals or certified true copies of evidence of graduation
• Evidence of English language competence (if English is not the first language of the applicant)
• Applicants for postgraduate studies by thesis only should submit a summary of their research proposal with the application for admission,
• a completed application form: 

English Requirement  

• IELTS minimum score of 6.5 for Postgraduate and 6.0 for Undergraduate Studies.
• TOEFL score of 237 for Postgraduate and 223 for Undergraduate Studies.
• Exemption is possible if student has scored above 70% in English language in the XII std. (English Medium) & if medium of instruction throughout school & college was English.

Intakes
New Zealand generally has 2 intakes. i.e.
February and July
Student should start making applications in the month of August for the Feb intake. Universities generally take around 6 weeks to process an application and immigration services again take around 6 weeks for the Visas.

Scholarships

The NZVCC does not offer any scholarships for international students.  Scholarships are available from: 

• NZAID Scholarships:  NZAID offers a range of scholarships for students from selected countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Pacific. 
• Education New Zealand Scholarships:  Education New Zealand offers scholarships for both Undergraduate and PhD students who would like to study in New Zealand.  All international students are eligible to apply for the PhD scholarships 
• University scholarships:  Each university has its own scholarships available for international students. Please contact Sanctum counsellors for the university you would like to study is offering any scholarships and whether you are eligible or not.
